Supporting our service

Catalog Choice is guided by an important principle:

Consumers should not have to pay to have their name removed from a mailing list.  You did not pay to get on the list and therefore should not have to pay to get off the list.

Hence, we need to identify ways to pay the bills without charging you.  There are a fair amount of costs associated with the design, implementation, development, operations and customer support of Catalog Choice.  We have been fortunate to operate in partnership with several foundations that generously support our mission of reducing waste by connecting consumers to companies to reduce unwanted mail and go paperless.

Catalog Choice is working on diversifying our funding support.  Last month, we introduced a secure, online donation system through our partner Network for Good.  So far we have received generous tax-deductible donations from numerous members.

Today we introduced our first corporate support.  In association with our site representation team, Natural Path Media, we are adding advertisements from hand-picked corporate supporters that promote conscious living and sustainable lifestyles, as their tag line states.  We are very excited to team with Natural Path Media.

Our first advertisement is from Sharp and focuses on their solar initiative.

To view the punchline, you need to let the electricity from the panels make it all the way to the Ferris Wheel.

    CC.org, I do sound hypocritical in my past bashings towards DMA about paying them for the damage they caused consumers but that is how I view them. They ignored me – personally.
    I view you as first, concerned about our environment and second, your dedication towards finding that happy medium between mechant and consumer. I’ll keep sendin when I can. You are priceless! Have you been talking to those pacwind folks?
