An important way to support Catalog Choice

We are dedicated to keeping our mail preference service free of charge.  You did not pay to get on the list and you should not have to pay to get off the list.  Occasionally, we receive donation offers via email to our customer service center.  As a registered 501(c)3, through our sponsor The Ecology Center, we can accept tax-deductible donations.

Today we added a link to our menu that makes it easy to provide a secure, tax deductible donation to Catalog Choice.  If you are so inclined, we welcome your donation to our effort to give consumers the ability to control their mail preferences, reduce unwanted catalogs and help preserve natural resources.

We are a small, dedicated and efficient organization working on your behalf to reduce unwanted mail and help you go paperless.  Your support in the way of entering your preferences, telling your friends and contacting merchants has been instrumental in our efforts to date.

We appreciate your time and hope that you will find our service worthy of your financial support.

P.S. – Thanks to Richard from San Diego for making the first donation this afternoon!

I would also like to stop receiving religious mail asking for contributions and receiving little momentos. Help!. I plan to share the catalog information with as many people as I can. I think it is a waste of company money and a burden to dispose of. Thank you.

May I mail a check to Catalog Choice instead, c/o the Ecology Center? Is the correct address 2530 San Pablo Ave, Berkeley, CA 94702? Groundspring doesn’t accept my credit card.

Tracy – Thank you so much for your support!
Yes, you can mail a check to the Ecology Center at the address above. Make it payable to the Ecology Center and write For Catalog Choice in the memo.

Your continued support in our effort both with merchants and here on the blog have been priceless.

    Best,
    Chuck

It’s now on its way. Thanks for providing such an excellent service, and happy holidays. May Santa wrap all your presents in recycled paper!

I would like to “invite a friend” while donating a “subscription” for that person. Your suggestions, please.

  6. Chuck says:

    Karen:
The “invite a friend” feature is not directly linked to the donation system. Right now, you need to send a follow-up email to your friend letting them know about the donation you made on their behalf.

  7. This is a wonderful service. Made my lists for the last 3 month and today opted out of 56, a great help to the environment and my mailman. Sending a check.

I just made a donation to Catalog Choice today. What a wonderful service! Over the last year, through this service, I’ve gone from receiving an average of five catalogs a day to only one or two a week. Not only is it great for the environment, but it saves me time, which is worth money! Thank you.

I joined this site 2 yrs ago and not ONE of me catalogs have stopped. I even received a letter months ago from one of the catalogs saying they would stop, but they haven’t. This site doesn’t work at all!
