Fabulous Freebies

We saw a huge spike in our traffic on Monday, so I knew someone, somewhere had written about our service.  A little investigation showed a huge volume of traffic coming from our friends at Yahoo!  The Yahoo Finance Team published their Fabulous Freebies 2008 list.

So as I scrolled down the page past free TV & Movies, Free Directory Assistance, Free College Savings, and Free Shipping. I found our listing…. right next to the Dunkin Donuts ad.

Thanks Yahoo!

  1. Yahoo to Yahoo. Last night I met one of my neighbors at the post box and she cringed at opening hers and said “more junkmail”. I kindly gave her CC.org’s info and showed her my mail - bills/bank statements. I let her know I get maybe 10-15 unwanted mailings now.
CC.org: get more spikes! Have a good holiday! There’s definitely a following for you out there.

  2. WE LIVE OVERSEAS BUT HAVE A MIAMI MAIL FORWARDING ADDRESS. THE CATALOGUES COME TO US IN THE STATES FREE OF CHARGE BUT WE HAVE TO PAY A SUBSTANTIAL FEE ON EACH ONE WHEN THEY ARRIVE HERE IN PANAMA. YOU HAVE HELPED US A GREAT DEAL TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF THESE UNWANTED, UNAPPRECIATED AND VERY EXPENSIVE ITEMS. MANY THANKS!

  3. I work in a school office. Educational supply companies send a huge number of catalogs; we regularly receive them for former staff members, some who haven’t worked here for for more than five years! The record was 68lbs of premium, glossy, catalogs from one company in one day! The number of incoming catalogs has dropped enormously since I signed up for Catalog Choice. We have created a Catalog Library in our workroom where teachers can access all of the catalogs, and we only need one copy of each. Some teachers like their own copies of certain catalogs, but the ‘catalog library’ works for most, most of the time. I have a container in the workroom labelled “Save A Tree - if you wish to stop receiving any catalogs, place them in here and I will request that your name be removed from the mailing list(s)” - it’s really working. CC is a brilliant idea! Thank you for providing this most useful resource.
