What a great service and I am so very annoyed with companies that simply will not stop sending catalogs. I will no longer shop with them, EVER, and tell all my friends and family to stop buying from them!

Judith, So I don't repeat my long winded blog that I wrote in April 2008 on CC.org's "Working to Reduce Unwanted Catalogs in Your Mailibox" discussion, you might want to select this subject by clicking April 2008 on the right of this screen under Archives, scroll down to the discussion and at the bottom, click Comments and scroll down a bit. After calling and writing catalogs, actually quite a few catalog reps gave me an education on the exchanging of mail info amongst themselves. August has blessed me with about 5 catalogs compared to 100 per week from Sept 07-Jan08. CC.org is doing great.

CC.org: Under 25,000 to go for that million! Where's the party going to be????

I love your service, however, it seems that for every catalog I opt out of, I get 2 to 3 more that I've never seen before. What gives.

Still hopeful that the main one I've tried to eliminate will desist. I congratulate you for offering this fine service.

Apparently at least one of the social networking sites has become appealing to those of us old enough to be receiving unwanted mail. The site I'm thinking of runs ads that let members do a thumbs up, thumbs down vote on the ad. So even if that site wouldn't comp you the ad cost, it would be a quick way to see whether that venue would create further interest in CC.org.

I think the corporate sponship idea is a good one. It would be best if you did not allow pop up adds, but stuck with something along the lines of "Sponsored as a public servce by The XYZ Cookie Company - maker of sweets to eat". It would be ok to link to their website.

It works -- my unwanted catalogs have slowed from a torrent to a trickle!

Thanks to those foundations for making it happen. Now, spread the word to everybody!

To the foundations listed above, you really don't know how much you have helped those consumers that want out of the towers of unwanted mailings. Thank you!

CC.org: on your requests for expanding your sponsorship realm, I think of the paperless media - maybe radio stations across the country would be willing to sponsor you and also spread the word about you - especially early in the day when workers are communting. Maybe, they would be willing to donate free airtime.

Also, I would gladly buy and wear a T-Shirt blazened with Catalog Choice's info. Proceeds to go toward your aim.

How about asking the US Post Office and postal workers to support you. My local post office is very happy that the amount of my junk mail is greatly reduced.
