The other day we came across a note from a Catalog Choice member. They wrote to inform us that one of the catalog merchants, Fahrney’s Pens, has printed a notice within their recent catalog instructing readers that if they wish to no longer receive their catalog to head on over to Catalog Choice and set their mail preference.

Fahrney’s made the decision to make it easy for customers to set their mail preferences through Catalog Choice. They certainly earned my respect and my business. If you want to applaud Fahrney’s Pens, head on over to their website and buy yourself a pen. Perhaps you could use the pen to write a note to those merchants who are not honoring your mail preference request through Catalog Choice.

Thank you for backing ‘Catalogue Choice”. I think it is a good program and it certainly should help save trees. it was the time to do something about it when I realized I received 65 Catalogues within three months that I did not even read, If a Cat. refuses my request to ‘decline’, I consider it a lack of respect and an insult to our world and to me.
where are the catalog names? I keep clicking Catalog choice and get nothing helpful.
I had not heard of FAHRNEYS PENS until now but I do look forward to contacting them and purchasing their products!
They reflect respect in the best business sense and they deserve our approval!
Why not start a “shame on…” list of those catalogs who refuse to honor our requests?
It was because of Fahrney’s catalog and their notice of this website that I came here today and signed up! I’d gotten their catalog and while I find their products gorgeous, and would love to own one of their pens, they’re way out of my price range, so I have no need of their catalog. After last Christmas and the impressively heavy deluge of catalogs I tossed in the recycle bin, I’d already decided to cut down on catalogs anyway. Kudos to Fahrney’s for letting people know of this site.
